Planning The African Safari The Right Way
In the past planning an African Safari was one of the easiest of tasks. The world was far apart geographically, culturally, ethnically, and on multiple other considerations. People had to take into consideration the best time that was usually winter or part of spring for moving for the safari.
As Africa in those days was not one of the friendliest continents for landing; multiple considerations came up before the safari aspirants. Some of the considerations involved selecting the appropriate season, the equipments and apparels to be carried for camping in wild forests, and the modes of travel. Since the road communication was not as improved as they are today, most of the safaris were carried out on horses, elephants, and on the watercourses in boats. That is why the preparation of itinerary became very difficult.
However the world has changed today. Planning a safari whether it is a Cheetah Safari, lion safari, hippo safari, animal safari, or country specific safari; has become easier today. While in the past it took huge number of staff and tons of supplies, arms, and ammunitions to carry out the safari, today everything is available on the spot. Only thing that has remained unchanged is the abundance of wildlife in the forests.
Form of enjoying the Safari Holidays has also changed considerably. No further hunting and shooting from the rifles. Today the only shooting that is done is from the digital camera, not to kill, but to catch the memorable moments in the camera.
