Music has various styles which also vary with the place where it is being practiced. Country music is such a verity of music very popular in the Southern States of America and in the population of the Appalachian mountain region. It is basically a folk music practiced in those parts of the continent and gradually became famous all over the world. Traditional Old music, Gospels and Folk music is the origin of the Country Rock or the Country music which we listen nowadays.

The first commercial recording of Country music was done in the year 1922 by Eck Robertson. He was a popular fiddlist in those days. The recordings were done for the Victor Records. And then onwards the journey started and it has millions of fans worldwide now.

There are several types of Country Music styles. Jimmie Rogers is considered as the Father Of Country Music. The type of music he used to practice is much different from what we hear now. There are radio stations which plays only this verity of music all the day long and these days there are many people who are studying in this field of music.

If someone is interested in this style of music, and want to practice, he or she should learn the history of it first. That will help them to understand the art correctly and in depth. A thorough research can be done on the subject and there are DVDs available of the old Country music in the market. If one listens to all the variety then it becomes easier to differentiate between the different styles.
